With constant stories of identity theft and internet fraud, we all know how important it is to use secure passwords and keep them safe, and yet around 40% of people use passwords made up of only lowercase letters and the average password is less than 8 characters long. Many people choose secure passwords but then store them in a text document because they can't remember them…
BitSafe stores your logins and other sensitive information safely and securely. Save login credentials, contact details, credit card information, software licenses and other text, images or files in an encrypted document where nobody but you will be access to them. By optionally utilising iCloud or Dropbox storage, your documents can be shared and synchronised between all of your Macs and iOS devices (Mac and iOS versions sold separately). The application also includes a random password generator (with configurable levels of complexity) to help you keep your logins secure.
On the Mac, BitSafe integrates with Safari, Chrome and Firefox through browser extensions, allowing you to log in to websites at the click of a mouse.
The BitSafe Archive (BitAr) format is an encrypted archive format which allows you to protect files without having to embed them in a BitSafe document. BitAr files can be shared with other Mac users, who will be able to open them using BitSafeArchiver or BitSafeArchiverLE (which is free - see the Resources section below) if they do not have BitSafe.
BitSafeLE is available for free (Mac only). It is limited creating up to five notes within a document, although it can read larger documents, and is missing some of the more advanced features. It is fully compatible with the full version of BitSafe and is not time limited.

BitSafe/BitSafeLE for Macintosh requires Mac OS X 10.11.x.
BitSafe for iOS requires iOS 10 and works on all iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad models supported by that operating system.
BitSafe for Mac is available for £8.99 / €9.99 / $9.99.
BitSafeLE for Mac is available for free.
BitSafe for iOS is available for £4.49 / €4.99 /$4.99.
FAQ
- How secure is BitSafe?
BitSafe uses 256-bit AES encryption, which is used by governments and military organisations world-wide. As long as you keep your encryption key secure your data should safe. - How does web-browser integration work?
Once you install the appropriate extension (see Resources), you can easily recall login details from BitSafe with a single click and have them entered automatically into the web page. This works for most pages, although some page designs do cause problems.
